Her future by Samarth Misra

When she was at the window

Dull moonlight as her friend

Her future was of a little bride

Her groom on his journeys end

She got her future a readymade

Bribes were paid as a gift

Your Just a girl they all said

Can ever her future shift

Years passed for the girl

And nature took all her hopes

Her future was on a pyre now

The pyre of her grooms corpes

Yet she was but a willful girl

A mortal challenged her fate

She ran away to a paradise

She ran to a schools gate

Year passed for the girl

A women now instead

She now govern the same lot

Who sentenced her to death

She again sat by the window

Dull moonlight as her friend

She wouldn't be sitting here at all

If she had accepted her end
